We Love Referrals!

The referral of family and friends is the greatest compliment we could receive.

 

Every time you refer a new family to our studio and they register for the full dance season, you will receive $25 Rugcutterz Dollarz*.

 

There is no limit to the number of families that you refer; and no limit to the amount of Rugcutterz Dollarz that you will receive.

 

*New students must provide your family name at the time of registration in order to receive your referral dollarz.

Open House Calendar

As dance classes are now underway, we invite parents to attend their child(ren)’s dance classes on three specified dates throughout the months of October, November and December.

 

Please review the calendar thoroughly as you are invited to attend the last ten minutes of your child(ren)’s dance class(es) on these specific dates only.

 

The front desk staff will escort all parents from the lunch room to the studios at the start of the Open House time.

Rules and Regulations

The following information is a reference guide for Rugcutterz Danz Artz. Its contents are subject to change. Rugcutterz and its staff cannot be held accountable for any changes that may occur due to unforeseen circumstances.

 

Management, together with the Artistic Director, has the right to change choreography, music, and participants in any dance routines, at any time, at their discretion. Their decision is final with no financial recourse to the studio or its Management & Directors.

 

Parents/ guardians are expected to check for any updates or changes that will be sent via email and posted on www.rugcutterz.com website.

All students must carefully observe our dress code outlined on our registration sheets and on our website.

 

Parents and dancers alike: please practice respect. Rugcutterz strives to be a positive, welcoming environment for students, staff, and clients. Please do your part to make sure it stays that way!

 

Parents and/or guests are not permitted in the studio outside of the lunchroom. Only dancers are allowed to be in the studio hallways and dance studios.

 

Due to severe allergies, Rugcutterz is a popcorn/nut safe zone within the studio. Please refrain from packing nut and popcorn related items in your child’s lunch and snack.

 

Items left behind after class will be immediately placed in the lost and found. Please check the lost and found regularly for any missing belongings. The lost and found box will be donated to charity at the end of each month. Rugcutterz Danz Artz is not responsible for lost or stolen articles.

 

In order to keep our children safe, as well as visitors to the studio, we are asking all drivers to respect the rules of the parking lot. Arrows have been painted on the ground indicating the proper flow of cars. To exit the parking lot, drivers MUST drive around the entire building. There is ample parking in front of the studio as well as both sides of the building and at the back of the building. There are also additional parking spots on the street and vehicles are also allowed to park in the parking lot of 171 Corstate Ave.

 

All students are expected to attend classes regularly and be punctual.

 

All students are expected to treat the studio’s property and the possessions of all individuals with respect, care, and consideration.

 

All students are expected to personally display and actively encourage positive behaviour.

 

There will be no tolerance for the use of profanity, fighting, bullying, theft, and vandalism.

 

Students are asked to refrain from using social networking tools to talk about other dancers.

 

Parents/Guardians are requested to call the school if their child will be absent from dance class.

 

If there is a concern that needs to be discussed, please meet with the front receptionist to arrange a meeting or phone conference.

 

Bare feet are not permitted outside the classroom.

 

In keeping with our efforts to provide a healthy environment for all of our dancers, smoking is not permitted on Rugcutterz Danz Artz property.

 

NO Food or Drink is permitted anywhere except in the lunchroom at all times. This includes the lobby, the change rooms, studios, and washrooms. The only exception to this is a student is allowed to have water only in the studio.

 

All jewellery must be removed before any class.

 

It is the responsibility of all parents to monitor students/ children while not in dance class. Rugcutterz Danz Artz is not responsible for any child left unattended while at the studio.

 

Rugcutterz and its instructors are not liable for loss of or damage to personal property.

 

It is expected that all students and parents will accept the consequences of their own actions and choices.

 

All parents certify that their child is in good physical condition and is able to participate fully in this program. All current medical conditions requiring medication are outlined on the Application Form. All parents fully understand the inherent risk involved in the physical activity of dancing and therefore release school Rugcutterz Danz Artz and its teachers from any liability in case of accident or injury.

 

All parents fully understand that trained professional instructors will conduct all classes in the safest possible manner.

 

Rugcutterz Danz Artz cannot be responsible for injuries sustained while traveling to or from its facilities, as well as an off-site location that Rugcutterz Danz Artz will be present at.

 

Should a student who has their driver’s license wish to take another student off the premises, note that Rugcutterz shall not be held responsible or accountable should anything occur. For those parents who have students driving, please ensure that they fully understand this rule. It is the responsibility of the student who is driving to ensure that the passengers have received permission from their parents prior to leaving the studio.  It is also the responsibility of the passenger(s) to obtain permission from their parents prior to leaving the studio.

 

Rugcutterz staff/management will not be responsible for calling any parents nor will they be responsible for monitoring the student’s activities should they decide to leave the studio.

 

Inclement Weather Policy

During extreme weather conditions, classes may be cancelled or held virtually. A cancellation message with specific details will be emailed to all families. Before you head out to the studio, please call the studio and/or check your email to confirm the status of classes.

 

Studio Sanctioned Closure

In the instance of a studio sanctioned closure, classes will be held virtually. An email with specific details will follow in this instance to confirm the status of classes.

 

Medication

If students require medication, please advise the front desk. If an EpiPen is needed, please advise front desk and teacher. Tylenol will not be given out without parents’ permission.

 

Student Accidents

If a minor accident occurs, such as a cut or bruise, the student is required to notify the teacher so that first aid can be administered immediately. If first aid is administered, every effort will be made to notify the parent.

 

Cancellation of Classes

Rugcutterz Danz Artz reserves the right to cancel any class, temporarily or permanently, without advance notice, due to an emergency, weather conditions, or lack of students. Rugcutterz Danz Artz will not be liable to perform their contractual obligations due to an event of force majeure and frustrated contract.

 

Photography and Video

Each student and his or her legal guardian(s) hereby release to Rugcutterz Danz Artz the rights to all photography and video that may be taken by or for Rugcutterz during class, performances or competitions, for use in advertising and promotion, including television coverage.

Personal photography and videotaping are strictly prohibited during classes, performances, and competitions.
